My Daily Regimen - Luminous Elixir Green Juice
Many of you have sent me messages asking about my programs and especially my personal healing recovery program. I'll absolutely share with you all my tips and recommendations as I continue to post, but a really simple and essential thing I do every day is have my Luminous Elixir Green Vegetable Juice.
In case you are unaware of my health struggles, I will give you a little background of what I have been going through, and yes, it is super intense. When you come close to death, it makes you appreciate the small moments, each amazing loved one in your life, and any chance to squeeze the juice out of every single day.
A few years back, I had several surgeries and got severe staph, MRSA infection.
I was not able to use the upper left side of my body for months. Without the use of both my arms, how could I be a chef? How could I serve my clients? I realized I had so much knowledge in me from all my studies and research that I poured into the food — I could just pivot and pour into consulting and programs.
Treating myself as I would one of my own clients, I was able to use food and nutrition to raise my hemoglobin from barely a 9, back up to 13, in 2/3 of the time the doctors told me it would take to recover. I realized that I had to rise up and be of service to my clients and community, and I had to do it in a different way.
So, why green vegetable juice?
Obviously, I’m not alone in loving this stuff! It’s become popular for a reason. Healthline says that the benefits of green juice, when consumed daily, are abundant.
For starters, green juice can reduce inflammation, heart disease risk, and your risk of age-related mental decline.
There’s also evidence that certain compounds in fresh juice can function as prebiotics, which feed and support the growth of beneficial bacteria living in your digestive tract. Routine prebiotic intake is linked to numerous benefits, including reduced constipation, weight maintenance, and improved immune function.
Also, many people find that drinking their vegetables and fruits is an easy and efficient way to boost their intake of valuable nutrients.
Finally, certain people, such as those who’ve had surgery on the stomach or intestines, can benefit from green juice, as it’s easier to digest. For these populations, juicing is a short-term option during recovery.
This recipe has been a part of my daily regimen for years, especially while I was recovering. When I was too nauseous to eat much, I would try to make sure I had 8-16 oz of this juice every day along with some nutrient-dense snacks.

This is the recipe:
5-6 leaves organic Tuscan kale
1/2 bunch organic spinach
1/2 bunch organic Italian parsley
4 stalks organic celery
2 organic cucumbers (I use hothouse!)
1 head organic romaine lettuce
Blend ingredients in a blender until smooth.
*OPTIONAL - Add lemon, or ginger for flavor preference. Or add a little green apple to sweeten the flavor.
